To complement the exhibition, Ecobuild China, will host a high-level conference in partnership with the Shanghai Green Building Council. The bespoke programme will be presented by internationally renowned figures, tailored to address the sustainable built environments current issues, future trends and investment and development opportunities.

The Shanghai Green Building Council (SHGBC) is a non-profit organisation established voluntarily by companies involved in the study, design, construction, education and management of green buildings and in the manufacturing of related products. SHGBC in recent years has been actively facilitating the implementation of the city's development strategy of "building Shanghai into an eco-city", advocating green building concepts, increasing public awareness, promoting expansion of new technologies, techniques, materials, management, and ways of thinking related with green building and providing member companies with the latest green building information. SHGBC also assists relevant governmental agencies the formulation of green building standards and assessment methods and provides technical support and basis for the promulgation and revision of related laws and regulations.
